Completely sold out already in advance

Backstage at the Generalprobe of the Bosl-Matinée, there is always a heightened sense of anticipation as the young dancers of the Bavarian Junior Ballett Munich and the students of the Ballet Academy of the University for Music and Performing Arts Munich come together to bring their work of the past few months to fruition.

This year’s Autumn-Matinée series are no exception. With the younger intermediate students of the Ballett-Akademie presenting classwork from their character dance studies, the older students present their affinity to the studies of the Bournonville technique. The junior company stand onstage as young soloists in their production of «Bilder einer Ausstellung», their jazzy grooves in Richard Siegal’s new staging of «3/4 Preludes» and the dynamic precision in the audience smash-hit «All Long Dem Day» from Marco Goecke.

Critics agreed that this year’s Autumn-Matinée series are an enormous success with Tanznetz headlining their response as “idiosyncratically impressive”.
